Sant Esteve de Sesrovires, Barcelona

The ‘Finca Ca n’Estella’ vineyard has been making wine since 1847. Its wines were first officially recognized in 1877 at the National Wine Exhibition in Barcelona. In 1959 the estate was bought by Delfi Rabetllat. A few years later, with the help of his daughter Mercè Rabetllat and his son-in-law Jaume Vidal, they rebuilt the winery which had been destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, so they could start producing wine again.

Nowadays, the property has 100 acres of its own vineyards, and the winery combines the latest technology with traditional 19th-century winemaking techniques.

The winery is currently run by the third generation of the Rabetllat i Vidal family; they have inherited the values of perseverance, hard work and passion from their parents.

The winery is located about 20 minutes from Barcelona, in the Penedès, one of the oldest wine regions in Spain.

To date, Bodegas Ca n’Estella has won more than 100 awards in international competitions. In 2014 it won an award as producer of one of the top 10 Chardonnays in the world, in the “Le Chardonnay du Monde 2014” competition held in France.
