Our very well-known aged red wine is the pioneer of the Priorat wines since its history begins in the middle of the XX century. With its elegant “picota” (cherry) red color and ruby tonalities, this excellent wine is the result of the coupage of Grenache, Merlot, Syrah and Carignan varieties, while its elegant and pronounced drops give us an idea of its high alcoholic content. A sensual aroma, deep and complex where rich vanilla and toasted aromas point out as a consequence of an ageing in French oak, with predominant touches of ripened red fruits. It has a balanced, warm, and gourmand palate.
With quite full aftertaste, pronounced, agreeable and long lasting, this wine is the best companion for all meat kinds, game as well as cheese without letting aside any dishes with strong sauces. It is perfect with baked or grilled – and even smoked – fish, with white meat, light first courses and condiment dishes with smooth creams.
